AFMC PMT 2010
Introduction
The Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC) was established in 1948 in the immediate post-world war time. The College is settled in Pune, a city with wonderful geographical location and a history steeped in political, educational and military traditions. Armed Forces Medical College is a prime medical institute of the nation acknowledged as a centre of excellence for education and experiment.
The college supplies training to UG and PG medical and nursing students with ascertained career prospects in the defence services. It is associated to Maharashtra University of Health Science, Nashik and is accredited by the Medical Council of India. These are mainly training of medical undergraduates and post-graduates, dental postgraduates, nursing cadets and paramedical faculty.
PMT 2010
Every year AFMC conducts an all-Indian pre medical test entrance test to admit 130 students (105 boys & 25 girls) into its MBBS course. After the MBBS degree students have necessary indebtedness to process at least 7 year as Commissioned Officers in the Armed Forces Medical Services.
Eligibility
A student passed 10+2 Std. or substitute examination of statutory Indian from any other accredited Board/University with subjects of PCB and English securing not less than 60% of aggregate marks in the 3 Science subjects taken together, and not less than 50% marks in English.
Pattern of Test
Students will have to present in the All India Competitive test of two hours in subjects of Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Intelligence, Logic, and Reasoning and English language. Each part comprises of fifty questions of 1 mark each.

Selection procedure
A candidate would be selected by the basis of merit obtained by the candidate in the entrance test and also by group discussion and personal interview.
