All India Institute of Medical Sciences (IMS) was founded in 1956 to serve as a nucleus for nurturing excellence in all field of health care. All-India Institute of Medical Sciences was demonstrated as an institution of national importance by an Act of Parliament. The Institute has comprehensive services for instructing, research and patient-care. Instructing and research are guided in 42 disciplines. In the area of medical investigation AIIMS is the lead, having more than six hundred research publishing by its faculty and researchers in a year. AIIMS also carries a College of Nursing and develops students for B.Sc.Hons Nursing post-certificate degrees.

Eligibility
To get admission in MBBS course in AIIMS a candidate has to pass class 12th with atleast 60% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English.
