Assam Medical College
Introduction
Assam Medical College (AMD) was officially founded on November 3, 1947 at Dibrugarh. He has the distinction of state the first medical college in the entire North eastern region of India. Some buildings are alterations of the original British architecture, although several new constructions have come up recently under the joint collaboration of both the North Eastern Council and authorities Government to upgrade the college to a premier medical institution of Asia once again. The student teacher relationship in this college is unique and best expressed by the students them selves. The college was lucky to have its affairs managed by a number of Principals.
LIBRARY
A centralized library with separate reading rooms for under-graduates and post graduates provides students with ample reference books, text books, journals etc. Coming up is an Electronic library with 20 computer nodes.
