AUCET 2011 Andhra University Common Entrance Test
Andhra University Common Entrance Test is conveyed to normalize the merit of eligible candidates qualified from different universities under different streams. The Entrance Test for admission in the Post Graduate Courses of Andhra University, Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, India. Andhra University or Andhra Viswa Kala Parishad located in Visakhapatnam, north east coastal Andhra Pradesh, is one of the older premier universities in India with a broad focus. The University, in its first year of operations in 1926 has few faculty staff and only six students. The next year, student durability rose to 17. In 1936, the student strength is at 200 and rose to 600 by 1946 and 2800 by 1966.

Eligibility Criteria
The candidates should be Indian National and should fulfill local/non-local status essentials laid down in the Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions
Candidates are required to have passed or should have appeared for the final year Intermediate Examination or equivalent with Chemistry, Physics and Biology as optional subjects including a practical test. Minimum qualification is a pass at I.Sc./ (10+2) or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology/Mathematics as one of the subject obtaining at least 50% aggregate marks for General Category Candidate (for SC/ST 45% maximum marks).
Selection process
Admission in this University is based on written Test Conducts by the University or Exam Society.
The Candidate should have pass the entrance examination & after that cut of marks make sure of selection of a candidate. Admissions in the government and private colleges associated or recognized by Andhra university is done through AUCET.

Reservation:-50% in the qualifying examination is the minimum required percentage for BC and OC candidates (45% is for SC/ST candidates) for admission into Science courses.
