BCECE 2011 Exams:
The Board presently conducts Combined Competitive Entrance Examinations (BCECE) for admission in Graduate level Vocational Courses in Engineering, Medical and Agricultural streams available in the Universities, Colleges and Institutions of the State of Bihar as well as those situated outside Bihar against State Quota seats. The test, BCECE or Bihar CET, was started by the State Government of Bihar in accordance with Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Act 1995.
Eligibility :
The candidates must have passed the Inter (Sc) Exam with Chemistry, Physics and Maths as subjects or an equivalent exam. Candidates who have appeared in the qualifying exam are also eligible.
Minimum Age Limit:
For Engineering/ Pharmacy Stream, there is no minimum age limit.
Admission Procedure:
Application form and syllabus for the entrance exam can be obtained from the Engineering Colleges/notified agencies in the month of January/ February. The completed applications along with exam fee should reach appropriate authority by the notified date usually in the month of March/ April. Application forms and brochure can be obtained form the Canara Bank branches in the state of Bihar. Last date of sending the application is 23rd February 2011.
Selection:
Selection is made on merit in BCECE conducted at various centres in the State. The test is held usually in the month of May/ June. Separate merit list is prepared for general/reserved categories. List of successful examinees is notified in leading State newspapers /colleges.
Reservation of seats:
SC-14%,ST-10%,BC-10%, children of armed personnel-1 seat. Two seats in each college of Sindri, Muzaffarpur, Patna and Bhagalpur are reserved for those holding a diploma in Engineering. Seats are also reserved for Central Government candidates and for candidates belonging to States/Union Territories which do not have engineering colleges.

Date of Exam: 25 April 2011
The first stage Examination is scheduled to be held on- May.2011
The second stage Examination is scheduled to be held on- June .2011
