The opening of Bhagat Phool Singh Mahila University is the beginning era for Women University in North India. The first Academic Session of the University began in August 2007 and since then the University has moved on by performance and bounds. The University, already accepted under Section 2(f) of the UGC Act, 1956 became the most immediate University to get acknowledgement under Section 12(B) of the UGC Act, 1956.
