Bharathiar University, named after the renowned Tamil poet Subramania Bharathiar, is an important center of higher teaching at Coimbatore in the state of Tamil Nadu. Educational jurisdiction of the University is spread over the districts of Coimbatore, Erode and the Nilgiris. It is placed at the foothills of Maruthamalai, in a sprawl campus at a distance of a some kilometers from Coimbatore on Maruthamalai Road. The University has been recognized by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with A Grade.
Distance Education
The School of Distance Education (SDE) of Bharathiar University was constituted during the academic year 1991-92. The school has limited its operation for the obvious reason of strengthening its base to furnish caliber teaching. Having realized the aim, the school has begun extending its action by identifying and approving study centres across the nation to help achieve higher gross registration ratio and higher literacy rate.

Iam an ex servicemen who has completed 20 years in IAF. will the certificate of special education awarded on completion of 15 years in defence be considered as graduation which will help me in doing MBA from your university
