Fusing the intensities of Indira Gandhi Center for Atomic Research and Nuclear Power Corporation of India Ltd (NPCIL) a new public sector company Bharatiya Nabhikiya Vidyut Nigam Limited (BHAVINI) was produced to contain out the construction and procedures of DAE’s firt 500 MWe proto-type fast breeder nuclear reactor.

Bharatiya Nabhikiya Vidyut Nigam Limited is a high visibility Public Sector in limelight in look at of the fact that success of Prototype Fast Breeder Reactor, under construction shortly will bring energy security for India in future.

Bharatiya Nabhikiya Vidyut Nigam Limited has been comprised on 22nd October 2003 as a Public Limited Company under the Companies act,1956 with the objective of building and commissioning the first 500 MWe Fast Breeder Reactor(FBR) at Kalpakkam in Tamilnadu and to pursue construction, authorizing, operation and maintenance of subsequent Fast Breeder Reactors for generation of electrical energy in pursuance of the systems and programmes of Government of India under the activities of the Atomic Energy Act,1962.

Essential Qualification
B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering with not less than 60% marks in aggregate.
B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering with not less than 60% marks in aggregate.
B.E./B.Tech in Electronics / Instrumentation Engineering with not less than 60% marks in
Aggregate.
B.E./B.Tech in Chemical Engineering with not less than 60% marks in aggregate.
M.Sc. Physics with a minimum of 60% marks from a recognized university
