Bidhan Chandra Krishi Viswavidyalaya, BCKV, came into existence in West Bengal in 1974. The huge sylvine campus having its teaching, administrative, extension and research units now at Mohanpur, Nadia, WB., has got the district mandates for providing agricultural teaching both at UG and PG levels, carrying on agricultural research as well as forming extension programmes.
