Birsa Agricultural University or BAU Ranchi was establishing to grow agriculture and linked activities in the plateau region of South Bihar. One of the State Agricultural Universities (SAUs), Birsa Agricultural University is committed to growing field specific technologies and manpower in the area of Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Forestry. It has been accepted by University Grant Commission (UGC) and is a member of the affiliation of Indian Universities (AIU). BAU is a complete residential university. The university has its jurisdiction over full state.
