Birla Institute of Technology popularly known as BIT, Ranchi is an autonomous engineering and technology-oriented institute located in Ranchi, Jharkhand in India. Birla Institute of Technology is a Deemed University under Section three of the UGC act 1956. The main campus of the BIT at Mesra is found 16 kilometers from Ranchi in a 780-acre setting at the confluence of the rivers Jhumar & Suvarnarekha.
About BIT – MET
BIT conducts Online Entrance Test, BIT-MET, for short listing candidates for admission to its full-time M. Sc. programmes at Mesra, Jharkhand. All candidates who want to apply for the M.Sc. programmes must appear for the online Test.

Exam pattern
The BIT-MET 2011 will conduct of 2 parts as below:
Section A –
General Aptitude Test – with 60 questions as below:
Mathematical Ability – 30 questions
Logical Reasoning – 15 questions
English Language and Comprehension – 15 questions
