Central Depository Services Limited (CDSL) India was established with the aim of offering convenient, dependable and secure depository services at affordable cost to whole market participants. CDSL offers depository services to investors in the country. Bombay Stock Exchange Limited (BSE) jointly with guiding banks such as State Bank of India, Bank of India, Standard Chartered Bank, Centurion Bank, Bank of Baroda, HDFC Bank and Union Bank of India was encouraged the CDSL.
It provides different facilities, such as dematerialization account opening, bank account details, change in address, corporate actions and public offerings, lending and borrowing of dematerialised securities, transposition-cum- dematerialization, nomination, dematerialization and remateriliasation of securities, processing delivery and receipt instructions, account statement, settlement of securities in dematerialization form, pledge of dematerialised securities, transmission of dematerialised securities, and electronic access to securities information, as well as online depository services.
