Central Drug Research Institute is one of the many labs that were founded in India right after its independence. CDRI is amongst the thirty eight laboratories that are working beneath the auspices of the council of scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) of India led by the Prime Minister of the country as its chairman. CDRI was officially inaugurated on 17th Feb 1951 by the then Prime Minister of India, Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru.

Selection procedure
