Central Institute of Agricultural Engineering
Introduction
The Central Institute of Agricultural Engineering (CIAE) is a prominent name in the field of agricultural engineering, research and development in the country. The institute was launched in February 1976. Initially, research and developmental work related to farm machinery, post harvest technology and energy in agriculture, were taken up.
The various divisions in the Institute were reorganized and two additional divisions namely Agro Industrial Extension and Instrumentation were set up during the 7th Five Year Plan. Central Institute of Agricultural Engineering Bhopal has been sanctioned by Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), New Delhi. The Institute is supported by Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), state and central universities and many organizations in the field of agriculture.

Applicant should hold a technical degree BE/BTech in the relevant stream to pursue ME/MTech studies.
Selection process
Candidates are selected on the basis of their performance in Entrance Test. The candidate must have appeared in GATE entrance examination, are given preference .Test score will be called for Group Discussion and Interview for final selection.
