Introduction
The Central institute of post harvest engineering and Technology was founded on 1O October in the year 1959 with its central office at Jodhpur. The Institute is unique of it kind at both National and International levels. The Institute has 5 laboratories. The institute’s 2nd campus was founded on 19 March in the year 1993 at Abohar, Punjab, India. The Higher gainfulness of agricultural production systems ensuring better income to farmer sand increased service possibilities in rural department through efficient mail harvest engineering and technological treatments for loss reduction and value addition to rural produce and by products resulting in high quality and safe food and flow at competitive costs for domestic and export markets.
