Introduction
Central Institute of Tool Design (CITD) launched in 1968 by the Govt. of India with the help of UNDP and ILO, is a poineering Institution in the area of Tool Engineering in the Country. The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Experts remained at CITD for around 5 years and trained officers, faculty & staff of CITD in construct and plan of tooling. The main objectives of the institute are:
Training of the technical personnel in Designing & Manufacture of Tools, Dies & Moulds.
Design & Manufacture of dies, jigs, fixtures and guages, etc.
Provision of advisory services to Small Scale Units including assistance in design and developing tools for various processes.
Recommending measures to standardize components for dies, jigs and other tools

Courses
POST GRADUATE COURSE IN TOOL, DIE & MOULD DESIGN (PGTD)
POST DIPLOMA COURSE IN TOOL DESIGN (PDTD)
DIPLOMA COURSE IN TOOL, DIE & MOULD MAKING (DTDM)
ADVANCED TOOL MAKER’S COURSE (ATM)

Duration –
PGTD – One and a half years. (3 semesters)
PDTD – One year. (2 semesters)
DTDM – Four years (8 semesters)
ATM – Two years (4 semesters)

Eligibility
PGTD – B.E./B.Tech. (Mech. /Prodn.) Or recognized equivalent qualification.
PDTD – LME/DME with a total of minimum 60% marks for general category candidates and an totality of minimum 50% marks for SC/ST category candidates.
DTDM – SSC/Matric with a total of minimum 50% marks for general category candidates and a total of minimum 40% marks for SC/ST category candidates.
ATM – SSC/Matric with ITI in any one of the trades-Tool & Die Maker/Fitter/ Machinist/Turner

Selection process
Candidates for PGTD, PDTD and DTDM courses under all categories will be selected based on rank obtained in the Entrance examination. The successful candidates from GATE exam also need to qualify themselves in the Entrance Examination for PGTD Course. For ATM course, the candidates will be selected based on merit in the qualifying examinations i.e. X class & ITI with weight age in the ratio of 50:50 respectively.

If you wish to apply for the admission in Central Institute of Tool Design (CITD) please download the application form from the university college website the other choice is you get the application form from direct university counter and you also get a form from by post .Sending a required amount of form by DD in favor of Principal Director, CITD, Hyderabad on any Nationalized Bank, preferably on State Bank of Hyderabad, Balanagar Branch, Hyderabad – 37.

    dear sir ,

    i want ragistration form of CITD for admission in CNC programing and operation for batch sept-2010 and other courses cnc with design software like catia,pro e ,etc in short term only.
