Central Plantation Crops Research Institute
Introduction
The Central Plantation Crops Research Institute (CPCRI) has been the opening up Institute in India carrying Research on Plantation Crops. The Coconut Research Station was founded in 1916 and later brought under Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) in 1970 as Central Plantation Crops Research Institute (CPCRI). The first mandate of the institute was on crop farming of coconut, arecanut, cocoa, oilpalm, cashew and spices. The centre has grown eighteen databases adjoining dissimilar faces of mandate crops allotted by the institute. The centre has also added for human resources growth actions and carried eleven training programs on several topics linked to bioinformatics and information technology with specific mention to Plantation crops.
Staff Strength
CPCRI has an entire of 685 staff in seven positions. The institute also acquires technical know-how from foreign nations. It secures raw materials from the institute plantations as well as other private plantations.

Age Limit
21-30 years (The high age is relaxable for SC/ST/OBC as per the Govt. of India patterns). The high age is also relaxable up to 45 years in the case of serving full-time employees of ICAR in the administrative (ministerial) class.
Qualification
The campaigner must be a Post-Graduate in any one of the following subjects with first division (60% in aggregate) from a famous University: Commerce/Mathematics/ Statistics/ Economics/ Computer science/Operational Research/ Finance/Financial Management/Accountancy. Desirable Experience of Finance & accounts work in Central or State Government Deptt. / Autonomous Bodies/Public Sector Undertaking. MBA Degree and knowledge of Computerized Accounting
