CET Punjab 2011 Combined Entrance Test
Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar was founded in January 1997 for advancement of Technical Education. Punjab Technical University Combined Entrance Test is conducted for the admission of students to the first year B.Tech, B.Arch and B.Pharm programmes offered by the participating universities and colleges. The condidate are also appointed according to their scores in the All India Engineering Entrance Exam.

Eligibility for CET Punjab 2011
The candidate should have passed 10+1 and 10+2 examination as a regular candidate from recognized institution situated in Punjab.

OR

Eligibility for 85% seats category candidates should be a resident of Punjab State in terms of Punjab Govt., Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms (PP II Branch) letter no. 1/3/95-3PP II/9619 dated 6th June 1996 and letter no. 1/3/95-3PP II / 81 dated 1st Jan 1999.

Application Procedures
Applicants may even obtain the application form through post by sending a Demand Draft of Prescribe amount drawn in favor of “REGISTRAR, PTU”. The draft drawn should be payable at Jalandhar. Application forms can also be gathered from PTU admission cell at Jalandhar, participating universities, colleges affiliated to PTU, Punjab Bhawan in New Delhi, Directorate of Technical Education and branches of Allahabad Bank and Punjab National Bank.

PTU CET Exam Pattern
The exam takes place for 3 hours. The exam is held in three parts. Part 1 comprises Physics, part II comprises Mathematics and Par III consists of Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/Computer science. Each part has 60 multiple choice questions.
