Chaudhary Charan Singh University (Meerut University) was launched in 1966, to provide higher education in western Uttar Pradesh. University gets funds from Government bodies for its research programmes. Chaudhary Charan Singh University has begun M.Phil and Ph.D programmes in 1969. The University extends education and training keeping in mind their relevancy in the growing world to the hopefuls across the country. The candidates should have passed their 10+2 examination from a recognized board or university.
Selection process
Candidates are selected on the bases of State Entrance Exam 2010 (SEE) for B.Tech Conducted by U.P.T.U. And wishful of admission in Sir Chhotu Ram Institute of Engineering & Technology (SCRIET) CCS University Campus, Meerut.

Candidates can get the application form from the official website of the university and also get directly from the university campus or by post by sending a request for the form along with a demand draft. The forms along with the information brochure were available at a payment of Rs 600 for general category and OBC category students and Rs 400 for SC/ST category students.
