Central Institute of Plastics Engineering & Technology (CIPET) is a prime institution, fully dedicated to manpower training and technical activities to the Plastics and allied industries. CIPET was first founded in 1968 at Chennai under the Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers, Govt. of India with the support of UNDP. Presently CIPET has existence in Tamil Nadu (Chennai), Gujarat (Ahmedabad), Punjab (Amritsar), Madhya Pradesh (Bhopal), Orissa (Bhubaneswar), Andhra Pradesh (Hyderabad), Manipur (Imphal), Uttar Pradesh (Lucknow), Karnataka (Mysore), Bihar (Hajipur), West Bengal (Haldia) and Assam (Guwahati). Recently, Government of India has approved establishment of New CIPET Centers in States of Rajasthan, Maharashtra and Haryana. It imparts postgraduate degree level course in the field of Plastic Engineering. For the smooth conduct of its courses, Central Institute of Plastics Engineering & Technology has a number of modern facilities for its students.

M.Tech. (Plastics Engineering/ Technology) (2 yrs)
Eligibility for CIPET 2011 M.Tech.
4 Years degree in B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical/Production/Plastics Tech/Engg/Tool Engg/ Aeronautics/ Automobile/ Mechatronics.or 4 years degree B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Chemical’ Production/ Polymer’ Plastics Tech / Engg or M.Sc. In Polymer Science / Chemistry with Polymer specialized.
Application procedure
Information Brochure and Application form can be received from any of CIPET Centers (from 8th March 2011 onwards) versus payment of Prescribe amount for general candidates and Prescribe amount for SC/ST candidates in cash or Demand Draft drawn in favour of “CIPET CORPORATE” A/c No. 10565622390 payable at Chennai and the form can also be downloaded from our website . Candidates belong to North – Eastern states can get the application forms and apply on free of cost by producing their original residential proof.

WHAT ARE THE ADVANTAGES OF JOINING IN “CIPET”?
FROM WHEN DOES THE ENTRANCE EXAMS BEGIN AND WHAT ARE THE QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED?
