Introduction
Central Institute of Tool Design is a premier Institute in Asia to supply determined training in tool engineering. The target of the Institute is to meet the necessities of the Industries in the field of Tool Design and constructing and to train the technical personnel in these fields. The Institute was founded in the year 1968 by the Govt. of India with assistance of UNDP and ILO.
Advanced tool maker’s course (ATM):
Period of the course is 2 years (4 Semesters). Applicant must have SSC/Metric with I.T.I. in any one of the trades – Tool & Die Maker / Fitter / Machinist/Turner. Upper age limit is 25 years (not born before 31.08.1984) with Relaxation up to 5 years for SC/ST Candidates. There are 30 seats for the course. Selection will be based on merit in the qualifying examination (10th Class & ITI with weight age in the ratio of 50-50 respectively). Course Fee is Rs. 12,000/- per year.
Qualification
B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering / Production Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering with specialization in Mechatronics/equivalent with minimum of 55% marks in the qualifying examination from the Institutions approved by AICTE. The GATE rank holders also need to qualify themselves in the Entrance Test.

Application procedure
Dictated application forms with full respects can be received from Central Institute of Tool Design, Balanagar, Hyderabad-37, by sending a crossed Demand Draft for Rs.500/-(Rs.250/- for SC/ST candidates and fully excused for PWD category candidates) drawn in favor of Principal Director, Central Institute of Tool Design, Balanagar, Hyderabad- 500 037 on any Nationalized Bank payable at Hyderabad.
The SC/ST candidates need to enclose a copy of the Caste certificate attested by a Gazetted Officer. Envelope containing the request for application form and other details should be superscribed with “request for application for M.E.(Mechanical- CAD/CAM) / M.E. (Tool Design) course.
A self addressed envelope (size 26 cm x 13 cm) duly fixed with Rs.15/- stamp also should be sent. Application forms can also be downloaded from our website.
A crossed Demand Draft for Rs.500/-(Rs.250/- for SC/ST candidates and fully exempted for PWD category candidates) drawn in favor of Principal Director, Central Institute of Tool Design, Balanagar, Hyderabad-500037 on any Nationalised Bank payable at Hyderabad should be enclosed along with the downloaded application form.

Calculus and Analytical Geometry, Real Analysis, Differential Equations
Statistics & Probability, Elementary Numerical Analysis, Logical Ability
Fundamentals of Computer, Elements of Data Structures, Computer Organisation
C Language.

Dear Sir,
I Completed Diploma Course in 2001 to 2004 But Because of my poor performance i passed in 2009 with 58% .
I am intrested to join in tool Design IS there any chances to do. Shall i attend the Entrance in 2010.
