Centre for Materials for Electronics Technology is a technological Society Registered under Ministry of Information Technology, the main objective to constitute technology strength in electronics materials for the present and future industrial requirement.
The Centre for Materials for Electronics Technology functions as an autonomous registered Society under the administrative control of the Department of Electronics, Govt. of India. Its administrative headquarters at Pune, the Centre distributes its research activities between its three laboratories at Pune, Hyderabad and Thrissur with particular research fields earmarked for each of these three laboratories. CMET conduct recruitment every year.
Centre for Materials for Electronics Technology R& D activities at present include development of thick film materials, polymers for electronics, specialty chemicals and glasses, ultra high purity and refractory metals, semiconductors, electronic ceramics and fine powder processing. Centre for Materials for joint R& ;D, sponsored research, technology transfer and consultancy projects and provides Electronics Technology contracts technical services.
