COMEDK PGET 2011 MBBS
Introduction
Karnataka Private Medical and Dental Colleges Association and Karnataka Unaided Private Engineering Colleges Association have set up ‘COMEDK’ to organize a ‘Common Entrance Test and Centralized Counseling”, that would help selection of candidates on merit for admissions to postgraduate courses provided by member institutions {Medical and Dental).As part of our test procedure, to ensure fairness to the deserved students and to eliminate fallacious attempts, it is planned to use Biometrics (Fingerprinting) at several stages of the process and this would be done at the discretion of COMEDK. PGET 2011 is a common entrance test for the academic year 2011, for candidates aspiring to pursue Post Graduate Courses in Medicine and Dentistry in the state of Karnataka, in Member Institutions of COMEDK.
How to Apply
Interested candidates are called for to fill the online application form available in the website: (comedk.org.) Applicant are requested to obtain a DD of Rs 1500 drawn in favor of “COMEDK, payable at Bangalore (Non refundable fee) and send it to the below given COMEDK Office address by speed post / courier along all the other necessity documents on or before the last date noticed.
Eligibility
Applicants must meet all requirements specified by MCI / DCI. Accordingly, they should have successfully passed by their M.B.B.S. / B.D.S. from an institution recognized by MCI / DCI, and must have finished or completing their internship by 30/04/2011.

3rd Week of Feb 2011 – Publishing of Test Score
3rd Week of Feb 2011 – Last date for receiving objections pertaining to Test score
4th Week of Feb 2011 – Publishing of Rank list
1st Week of March 2011 – Last date for Dispatch of Rank Card

MCI / DCI Norms:
Every student, selected for admission to the Post Graduate medical / dental course in any of the medical / dental institutions in the country, shall possess recognized M.B.B.S. / B.D.S. degree or equivalent qualification and should have obtained permanent registration with the Medical Council of India / Dental Council of India, or any of the State Medical / Dental Council or should obtain the same with in one month from the date of admission, failing which the admission of the candidate shall be cancelled.

The Karnataka government and private colleges set the seat-sharing formula at 50:50 for Engineering and 42:58 for Medical courses for 2011. On this seat sharing basis, COMEDK meets its division of seats by its UGET. COMEDK Colleges also have a fixed number of NRI quota and the Management quota seats
