Delhi Pharmacy Council was constituted under section 19 of Pharmacy Act 1948 in the year 1959. The Council undertakes registration of pharmacists practicing in Delhi. The Delhi Pharmacy Council was established under “The Pharmacy Act 1948″ and Delhi Pharmacy Council Rules were notified on 30.8.1958.
Function of the Delhi Pharmacy Council
The Delhi Pharmacy Council works under the guidance of a President and a Registrar. The primary function of the council is to give registration to the pharmacists and renewal of the registered pharmacists by issuing Identity Card.
Registration
The registration of the pharmacists by the Delhi Pharmacy Council was started on 31.08.1959. The total numbers of registration of pharmacists are 18,751. 11415 Pharmacists have renewed their registration.
Fee Schedule
Fee for the first registration in the register Rs 500 for 5 years
Fee for every qualification or status subsequently registered Rs 500
Fee for certified copy of any entry in register Rs 200
Fee for registration of change of name Rs 200
