Dietetics Distance Learning
The University of Northern Colorado provides a distance-based Didactic Program in Dietetics called the Distance Dietetic Program [DDP]. It is the same program as its CADE recognized on-campus courses however it is planned to be more accessible for students especially those who have employment and/or family allegiances that preclude participating in a full-time on-campus experience. The DDP provides 10 courses online; the rest of the needed programs are taken at a regionally recognized institution where students live or on-line and they transfer in.
The UNC Dietetic faculty will advise students considering which courses students have taken or are planning to take will transfer for credit toward completion of the Distance learning Dietetic Program. They will assist students plan students schedule of pre-requisite programs to take in preparation for enrollment in the distance learning courses. students may begin taking courses in the Distance learning Dietetic Program if students have had the appropriate pre-requisites, students have been advised by students advisor, and there is space available in the programs.
