The Diploma Gateway is part of a broader package of reforms to 14-19 education, which are planned to devote young people greater choice and flexibleness over how and what they learn. Diplomas will contribute young people an alternative to traditional learning by offering up a blend of general education and utilized learning. Diplomas will consider a young person wherever they need to go, whether that is to advance or higher education or to the world of work. The Diploma has been planned to bridge the gap amongst academic and vocational learning, and the strong academic content within the Diploma adjusts it apart from practical vocational qualifications.
