Directorate Of Educational Research And Training the Ri Bhoi District of Meghalaya, the District Institute of Education and Training has constituted set up at Saiden, Nongpoh and was introduced on 8th of July,2003 by the then Chief Minister of Meghalaya, Shri D.D. Lapang. Improving the functioning of the Elementary school education is the most significant challenge in simple education. Directorate of Educational Research and Training is since of the information that they play an important character in the educational organization. Although efforts have constituted made to improve the character of teachers, however little has followed achieved in this consider.
The Department of State Educational Research and Training popularly experienced as DSERT is the academic fly of the Department of Public Instruction. It directs at providing academic leadership in school education as well as improving the character of Department of Education provided in primary and secondary schools in the state.
