BAS (Bachelor of Applied Science)
BA
Graduate and professional schools typically necessitate a 4-year BA or BS for admission. The program of a traditional BA degree is centered on offering a well-rounded, liberal arts education. Scholars pursuing a BA are not necessitated to have an associate’s degree.
BS
BS curricula generally necessitate a scholar to take the majority of their courses (usually 1/2 or 3/4) in the sciences, namely life sciences, physical sciences, or the mathematical sciences. BAS
An undergraduate academic degree granted for a course or curriculum in a technical field with substantial employed content that a student can partially acquire through completion of another instructional curriculum or experience in a technical area. A BAS curriculum can be planned to incorporate employed content by different pathways, adding collaboration with a community or technical college with block transfer of credits, transfer of credits on a course-by-course basis, or credits for experiential learning. Scholars pursuing a BAS degree must have an associate’s degree.
