Do you advice msc in mathematics form IIT will I face any problem in admission due to one year loss?

i am doing bsc in mathematics from calcutta university i was supposed to appear for my part 3 exams this tear but due to illness i coud not sit for the exam.i want to do msc in mathematics form iit will i face any problem in admission due to 1 year loss.
