Programme objectives:
The Aims of this induced, rigorous and application-oriented program are to develop skills in successfully starting, expanding and diversifying a business enterprise in new, up-coming areas, including agriculture and service sectors. Develop family business successors as Go-Getting and knowledgeable owners of the business of their forefathers. Create cadres of teachers and investigators in the field of entrepreneurship development
Fee structure:
The course fees for the two-year, full-time, residential programme would be payable in five installments.
This includes cost of tuition, reading material, library and computer facilities, study calls and lodging and boarding, alumni association membership fee, students’ activities fees, etc.
Eligibility Criteria
Students should hold a Graduate’s degree, with at least 50% marks (45% in case of the students belonging to SC/ST/PWD category.
Students appearing for the final degree examination, at the time of application, can also apply.
Students with relevant work experience will be favored.
Students choosing for the admission in the EDI’s PGP have to get CAT, MAT or XAT newsletter available on sale with Axis Bank or any IIM, AIMA study centres or Bank of Baroda branches and XLRI, Jamshedpur, severally. For more particulars, refer EDI website.
Students, preferring for EDI-PGP through CAT, MAT or XAT have to apply to EDI also by assuming a course catalog-cum-application form.
Students may find this by paying Rs. 1000/- in cash or by sending a DD, drawn in favour of Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India, payable at Ahmedabad, from EDI Head/Branch or Project Offices.
Selection process
Based on personal interview on the basis of CAT, MAT and XAT scores and GD.
Written test:
The written test focuses on evaluating aspirants on a paper that is divided into five sections needs to be completed in 120 minutes.
Exam patterns
25 minutes, Arithmetic –
30 minutes, Logic and Reasoning –
20 minutes, General awareness –
20 minutes, Entrepreneurial orientation –
25 minutes,
Total – 120 minutes
Important dates
19th February 2010 is The Last date for submission of filled-in application form to EDI (CAT/MAT/XAT aspirants)
01-05th March 2010 is the date of Entrepreneurial Aptitude Test (EAT) and personal interview
07th May, 2010 is The Last date for registration for PGDM-BE
5th July, 2010 is The Course commencement
For Aspirants through EEE

Written test: During 1-5th March 2010
Personal Interview: During 1-5th March 2010
Dates for the EEE and PI:
Because of the new dates Determined for the written test of CAT by IIMs and subsequent delay in proclamation of the results, the written test (EEE) will be carried along with the Entrepreneurial Aptitude Test (EAT) and the Personal Interview between 1 to 5 March 2010 at the following centers
01st March, 2010 at Pune/Mumbai and Bhubaneshwar
2nd March, 2010 at Bhopal and Kolkata
03rd March, 2010 at Delhi and Chennai
04th March, 2010 at Bangalore and Lucknow
05th March, 2010 at Ahmedabad
Placement:
On completion of the second year, the Institute will allow for limited support in placement for those who wish to work in an enterprise before establishing their own enterprise and will also facilitate fundamental interaction with bankers/financial institutions so as to help students in starting their venture.
Loans from financial institutions:
Financial institutions/banks allow for commodious educational loans for meritorious/meriting students to acquire knowledge and skills in the field of their interest. Students pursuing their studies had availed educational loans from Indian bank, bank of Baroda, state bank of India and others.
Students desirous to avail this facility must meet the managers of the several banks located in their hometowns and understand the procedural formality.

Entrepreneurship is more than the process of starting a business. An entrepreneurial mindset is crucial for all organizations – small or large, new or old, for-profit or not-for-profit. Naming, valuing and capturing business opportunity through individual initiative in the context of doubt and tight resources is crucial for the success of any organization. This opened up significant career avenues for PGDM-BE graduates.
