Fakir Mohan University is situated at Vyasa Vihar, Balasore Orissa. Fakir Mohan University was established by the Govt. of Orissa under Section 32 of the Orissa University Act, 1989(Act 5 of 1989 and Recognsed by the UGC Under Section 2(f) of the UGC Act vide the Notification No. F–9–1/2000 (CPP–I) The Fakir Mohan University is functioning from its present campus at Vyasa Vihar. New campus at Nuapadhi has already started functioning.
Centre of Distance and Continuing Education under Fakir Mohan University is launch with the Aim to reach out to more and more people and assist them in their endeavor to study further and taking education to the doorstep of the people by removing all barriers of learning without vulnerable the superior of education.

Placement
Placement Cell of Fakir Mohan University is an necessity component in any professional education. As Fakir Mohan University has opened seven regular professional /technical courses, the need for a training and placement cell is obvious for the students. The cell has started its work to contact industries by out India for the summer training /project work of the students. A senior faculty member is looking after the Training and Placement Cell.
Hotel
The Fakir Mohan University has organized one Men’s Hostel and three Women’s Hostels for the students on private basis. Every hostel is under the supervision of a Superintendent, who is obligated for the administration and discipline of the hostel. One Men’s Hostel and one Women’s Hostel at New Campus are ready for occupation.
