The G.S.V.M. Medical College, Kanpur founded in November, 1955 and its basis stone was established by Honorable Dr. Rajendra Prasad, the first President of India, on April 24, 1956. This medical college objective at a complete and broad teaching and training of medical students along with their character building. This institute is performing a leading role in furnishing health services in Kanpur & adjoining districts. It is committed to the airing and advancement of knowledge in several strengths of medical science and launching itself as a centre of excellence.

Eligibility
A student is eligible for entry to the course after clearing the 12th class (Intermediate) examination.
Admissions
Admissions are built by U.P. State Combined Pre Medical Test (CPMT) carried by Director General Medical Education and Training, U.P. for 85% seats and All India Medical Entrance Examination (CBSE Examination) for the remaining 15% seats. 3 seats are reserved for nominee of government of other states. Reservation of seats for scheduled caste/tribes and other backward classes are made according to state government guidelines.
