Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University launched by Government of NCT of Delhi beneath the provisions of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University Act, 1998 read with its Amendment in 1999.The University is accepted by University Grants Commission (UGC), India under division 12B of UGC Act. It is an associating and teaching University that intentions to facilitate and encourage studies, research and extension work in emerging fields of higher education with focus on professional teaching in the fields of engineering, technology, architecture, management, medicine, pharmacy, physiotherapy, nursing, education, law, journalism and mass communication, etc.
