Goa University was established in 1985 integrating the then existing PG Centre for Instruction and Research of the University of Bombay. Goa University is the only university in the total state of Goa. Goa University has been licensed with four stars placing on a five-point scale by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).It has now got an esteemed centre of higher education in the state of Goa. It is a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).It is situated on the outskirts of Panaji, the capital city.
