Introduction
Great Lakes Institute of Management is a business school placed in the South Indian city of Chennai. It provides a one year ‘Post Graduate Program in Management’ and a 2 year part-time Executive MBA program ‘PGGEP in Management’. The institute was launched by Dr Bala V Balachandran in the year 2004.He is a professor of Accounting & Information organizations at Kellogg School of Management, Chicago, USA. He was confabbed Padma Shri, India’s fourth highest civilian honor, in 2001.

Eligibility
All students are needed to come out for GMAT/CAT before applying to Great Lakes Institute of Management.
For PGPM 2009, Great Lakes Institute of Management will admit CAT score for the year 2007 and 2008 only. Similarly student can present GMAT score not older than 2006.
All applicants should have at least a bachelor’s degree in any subject from an accredited institution.
Full time work experience of lower limit two years is highly desirable.
Prominent graduates with less than two years of experience would be taken on a case to case basis.
Admission process
Student for admission are assessed grounded on GMAT/CAT (2007 & 2008) score, past academic achievement, essays and letters of recommendation, and accomplishment in the interview and group discussion. Letters of recommendation are needed to be presented online along with the application. Professional recommendation for student with substantial work experience is favored.
