Introduction
Hassan Institute of Medical Sciences started imparting superior education in medicine from the academic session 2006-2007 Settled in Hassan, the medical college is among the fastest growing colleges of Karnataka. It offers environment causative enough for learning to the students. The medical college objectives to impart both theoretical and practical knowledge to its students. The hospital related to the Hassan Institute of Medical Sciences helps in practical teaching of the young applicants. Hassan Institute of Medical Sciences is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore and is sanctioned by Medical Council of India (MCI), to conduct MBBS course.

It is the aim of the Library of the Hassan Institute of Medical Sciences to serve the different needs of its many readers efficiently. The Library makes available to the staff, and medical students, a wide collection of medical literature, including Books, Journals, Reference Sources and pamphlets. The amount of newly information available to the medical student, the practicing doctor, other personnel, demands a flexible library system and trained library staff.
Eligibility
The candidate should have completed 10+2 or equivalent examination with physics, chemistry and biology as compulsory subjects, from a recognized board.
Admission Procedure. Selection of the candidate is through ordinary entrance test conducted by Government of Karnataka (Karnataka CET) or by the All India Entrance Examination.
