The Himalayan Institute Hospital Trust (HIHT) the patronizing society for HIHT University was launched by a great yogi, scientist, philosopher, philanthropist, investigator and writer, H.H. Dr. Swami Rama. It started in 1994 with 250 beds, the institute is presently the Only Post Graduate Medical Institute in Uttarakhand. HIHT is attached to the assumption that all human beings have the right to health education and economical self enough. The HIHT University has its own 750 bed multi-specialty third care hospital for teaching and training aim.
