HP CMAT 2011 Himachal Pradesh- Combined Management Aptitude Test
Introduction
Himachal Pradesh State – Combined Management Aptitude Test is a common entrance test for admission to Master of Business Administration (MBA) programme for all the universities/Institutions affiliated to universities in Himachal Pradesh. In accordance with the UGC guidelines there shall be only one entrance test for all such Institutions.

Graduate in any discipline from a recognised University with 50% marks (45% for SC/ST candidates).
Selection Process
For The Selection in Admission to MBA programme is based on HP-CMAT, Application Rating, GD and Personal Interview and Group Discussion.
Exam Pattern
The question paper consists of objective type questions and has four sections-Reasoning, business environment, English comprehension and data interpretation and arithmetic comprehension. There will be fifty questions in each section.

The Application Form also can be Downloaded from the Official Website of The Himachal Pradesh State University.
How to apply
The application form along with prospectus can be obtained either from the institute’s cash counter by depositing Rs.500/- (Subsidized & non-Subsidized) (Rs. 250 for SC/ST candidates) or by post by sending a Demand Draft for Rs.550/- (Subsidized & non-Subsidized) (Rs.300 for SC/ST candidates) in favour of “Director, IMS HP University”, payable at Shimla.

Selection process:
Selections of The Candidate are shortlisted on the basis of the scores they get in the written test HP-CMAT 2011.
The HP-CMAT 2011 shortlisted candidates are then called for Personal Interview and General Discussion.
Final selection is based on weightages given to different factors:
Written Test (50%);
Past Academic Performance (30%);
Personal Interview (10%)
Group Discussion (10%)
