HPL 2011 Recruitment Homoeopathic Pharmacopoeia Laboratory
Homoeopathic Pharmacopoeia Laboratory was founded in 1975 under the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India, as a quality monitoring apex body. The measure of homoeopathic medicines to be complied with for industry, sale or import is defined in Section 4A of Second Schedule of Drugs & Cosmetics Act. The laboratory is also accredited by the Department of Science & Technology, Govt. of India.
Homoeopathic Pharmacopoeia Laboratory also undertakes research, evaluation and rationalization of homoeopathic medicines and formulations. Plant introduction, maintenance of reference samples, survey and collection of data in respect of adulteration are its other functions.
Homoeopathic Pharmacopoeia Laboratory is engaged not only in laying down of standards for identity & purity of homoeopathic medicines and providing services as laid down above, Homoeopathic Pharmacopoeia Laboratory is also preparing monographs for Homoeopathic Pharmaceutical Codex.
Homoeopathic Pharmacopoeia Laboratory suggested preliminary standards for mother tinctures which were approved by the Homoeopathic Pharmacopoeia Committee for inclusion in the Homoeopathic Pharmacopoeia of India
