The University of Hyderabad, a prime institution of post graduate teaching and research in the country, was launched by an Act of Parliament (Act No. 39 of 1974) on 2nd October, 1974 as a Central University, totally financed by the University Grants Commission. Eligibility
The candidates must hold a Bachelors Degree (10+2+3) from a recognized University in any discipline with at least 50% Marks in aggregate.
Selection process
Candidates are selected on the basis of their performance in Entrance Test: CAT with good score. Candidates short-listed on the basis of Entrance Test score will be called for Group Discussion and Interview for final selection.

The candidates can be downloaded application form from the official website of University and send it with supporting papers to the Deputy Registrar (Acad & Exams) together with a Bank Draft of Rs. 600/- in the case of General Category and Rs. 300/- in the case of SC/ST/PH Category.
