IIIT Entrance Exam 2011 for MBA Allahabad

Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) MBA Entrance is taken for the admission of selected candidates to MBA (IT) and MSCLIS courses provided by the institution. Candidates will be selected for the entrance examination on the base of their performance in the Common Admission Test (CAT). IIIT- Allahabad is a Central Govt Institute, with progressive IT infrastructure, calls applications in 2011 for the MBA full-time programs from interested candidates, the programs is 2 year duration.

Eligibility for IIIT exam 2011
Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree and the valid CAT score is necessary for admission. GMAT score is necessity for the NRI candidates. There are sum up 76 seats and some are kept reserved for the SC (11), ST (6), OBC (13), and Physically Handicapped (2) candidates. Candidates who are looking for the qualifying degree examinations and expecting their final results latest by 14th July 2010 are also eligible to apply.

Application Procedure for IIIT 2011
Download the application form available at www.iiita.ac.in. Or obtain in person or through post. The request letter must be superscripted “Request for MBA (IT) / MSCLIS Program Application Form”.  Mode of Payment: Cash / DD should be drawn in favour of: HIT –Allahabad. In case of downloaded application forms, DD may come with the completed application form, without which it shall be summarily rejected.

Selection Procedure
Candidates are first screened looking on their CAT percentiles. The screened candidates are then called for an entrance test, interview and a general discussion.

Important Tentative dates
Availability of application of forms: From second week of November, 2010
MBA (IT) entrance test: Second week of January, 2011
Interviews: Mid of February, 2011

    I have completed my BE in IT from mumbai university. I am intrested in pursuing MS CLIS from IIIT Allahabad. For that i have to give CAT test? IN the eligibility criteria it is mentioned that screened students will be invited for entrance exams and interview. What is their criteria for screening? Please I hope u will answer my questions. thankyou.
