IIIT of Hyderabad
IIIT Hyderabad
IIIT [International Institute of Information Technology] Hyderabad was envisioned through Nara Chandrababu Naidu, the Chief Minister of the State of Andhra Pradesh from 1995-2004. It is an independent institute launched in 1998 with seed endorse from the Government of Andhra Pradesh. IIIT Hyderabad emphasizes research from the undergraduate level, which makes it different from the other leading engineering institutes in India like the IITs. Prof. Raj Reddy, the only Indian to get the Turing Award, is the chairman of the board of governors.
