IIMC Delhi
Indian Institute of Mass Communication was found on August 17, 1965 as a department of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India. In the recent past, IIMC has derived acknowledgment from all over the world as a prime institute for the pursuit of Mass Communication. The plan for the organization of IIMC was described up by a team of experts including representatives of the UNESCO. Indian Institute of Mass Communication has two campuses situated at New Delhi and Dhenkanal (Orissa).
Courses
Post-Graduate Diploma in Journalism – Duration: 1 year
This course is conducted in three languages, English, Hindi and Oriya.
Post-Graduate Diploma in Radio & T.V Journalism – Duration: 1 year
This course is conducted in English and Hindi.
Post-Graduate Diploma in Advertising & Public Relations – Duration: 1 year
Research Works of IIMC:
Few recent research projects are – affect of DAVP’s out-door promotion on National desegregation and Communal Harmony and Alumni Survey – IIMC. Various Research programs are contracted by the IIMC on request of departments of Central and State Governments, public sector industries and various universities. Presently research is comported under the oversight of Prem Singh Manral and Zahoorul Haq, both of whom are senior research officers.
