Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati is one of the prime engineering institutes of the nation. IIT Guwahati was constituted in 1994 as the sixth member of the IIT fraternity. The institute commenced its academic programs in 1995. The organization of IIT Guwahati has given the much-required impetus to technical teaching in the northeastern region of India. IIT Guwahati campus is spread over a sprawling 285 hectares on the north bank of the river Brahmaputra. Within a short span of time the institutes has earned a number of accolades, nationally and internationally.
Techfest
The students of IIT Guwahati are delighted to inform you that after the vast success of the eleventh edition of Techniche, our annual techno-management festival, we are coming back with its next edition, Techniche’10 which would be held from 2nd to 5th of September ‘2010. Techniche furnishes India’s budding engineers, enterprisers, innovators and technocrats with a platform to showcase their various skills. It pits them against the fiercest of competitors, displays the marvels of modern technology and gives a chance to interact with high personalities and intelligentsia from across the world.
