The Indian Economic Services Examination is conducted through the Union Public Service Commission to enroll Grade IV officers for the ISS and Indian Economic Service (IES). Indian Economic Services Exam is in general carried on in the month of November. Chose examinees are placed in the planning commission, planning board, ministry of economic things, National sample survey and other confederate offices where specialists in economics and statistics are needed.
Eligibility:
1. Age Limits: The must have derived the age of 21 years and must not have reached the age of 30 years on 1st January, 2011
2. The speed age limit is relaxed for Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes/ Other Backward Classes/Physically Handicapped and certain other classes of examinees to the extent specified in the Notice.
Examination Pattern:
The exam is conducted in two stages- written test and viva voce. The written exam contains total marks of 1000 and the oral exam is of 200 marks.
