Medical education in Varanasi, the most previous living city of the world, dates from the days of Sushruta 500 BC. The Institute in 1960 the Ayurvedic College was converted to the College of Medical Sciences with Professor K.N. Uduppa as its founder principal and in the year 1971, the College of Medical Sciences, was upgraded as Institute of Medical Sciences. The Banaras Hindu University will hold All India Competitive written test for admission to various course.
Eligibility
The Candidate must have passed Higher Secondary / / Pre Medical / Intermediate / Equivalent examination from a recognized board with a minimum of 50% marks (40% in case of SC/ST candidates) in English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together.
Age Limit
The candidate Completed 17 years but not crossed 25 years as on 31st December, 2011.
Selection Presses
The MBBS Candidate Admission is done on the basis of candidate’s performance in the entrance examination.
