Introduction
Singapore Institute of Science was launched in 1940 by the late Mr K.C. George who has the 1st principal of the Institute. A man of big vision and bravery, he saw the demand for an institution to meet the wants of the many students who were unable to study science subjects in regular schools at that time. Today, many of former students are outstanding personalities, both in public and private sectors. In fact, many of former teachers have gone on to bigger things.

Additionally, many have pg professional education, industry certification, and various years working experience in teaching, public and private businesses. They convey a wealth of information and real life examples right into the classroom.
The Present of the institute
Narrow in Science and Maths subjects for Sec 2 students, and Biology, Chemistry and Physics (Pure and Combined) subjects for Sec 3, Sec 4 and Peru 2 students. These classes are available for both school students and private students. With a bettered fully equipt laboratory, single practicals are now furnished for all Science subjects. Due to our low-cost rates, have a developing population of students.
Moreover, have launched a full-time complex comprehensive course for GCE “O” level students. Such a course is suitable for students planning to pursue their teaching in polytechnics or in junior colleges.
