Interior Design Diploma program is for scholars wishing to enter the interior design industry or for those who are working in the industry but do not have a formal qualification. students will study western architecture and interiors, residential housing, NZ art and artists, design theory, ergonomic principles, kitchen and bathroom design, colour principles, paint systems, residential interior design, professional design practice, building technology and services, materials and finishes, lighting, textiles design, soft furnishings, visual communication, manual drafting and CAD.

Entry Requirements
Academic
12 credits in NCEA English stage 1, 12 credit in NCEA Mathematics (or Pāngarau) Level 1 and 36 credits NCEA Level 2.
Or
Alternative
Evidence of literacy, numeric and an ability to study at the appropriate stage
This can be by study, work and/or life experience. CPIT literacy assessments are availability.
And
Additional
Portfolio Requirements
If employing below alternative criteria appliers must offer a portfolio demonstrating design, graphic design and/or art skills.
