The Singapore Management University was formally integrated on January 12, 2000, and is Singapore’s first individual university financed by the government. The University has an Office of Research, a number of centres of excellence, and supplies public and customized programmes for acting professionals through its Office of Executive Education. The idea of launching a third university in Singapore was beginning considered by the Singapore government in 1997.The Singapore Management University was placed 65th worldwide by UTD Top 100 Worldwide Business School Ranking.
