Jaipur Dairy
Introduction
Jaipur Dairy – for fulfillment of the national Aim of arriving at India self ample in milk production, a small step was taken in March 1975 and Jaipur Zila Dugdh Utpadak Sahakari Sangh Ltd., Jaipur was recorded under Cooperative Act 1965 to work in then Jaipur District. ab initio this union not has the processing facilities. Jaipur Dairy commenced with a modest commencing of procuring 250 liters of milk per day.
The initial handling capability of the dairy plant was 1.5 Lakh Lt. per day with a powder plant of 10 MT per day capacity, Jaipur Dairy commissioned in the year 1981 under Operation Flood Program 1 by National Dairy Development Board for service of thousands of rural farmers families of Jaipur.
The Basic unit of Jaipur dairy is village level milk producer’s Cooperative society. These villages Dairy Cooperative provide a remunerative market to producers. Jaipur Dairy collects supplies surplus milk from milk producers and sends this collected milk to Jaipur Dairy. Milk supplied by the producers are weighed, samples drawn for quality testing and payment is made on the basic of quantity and quality of milk (Fat %).
Further Electronic Weighed which along with Electronic Milk Tester attached to a mainframe which prints a payment slip for every sample was installed at DCS. The PC could also be put to use for automation of other activities of the society like management of inventory of trading items of the Society, accounting of several veterinary services, animal breeding, animal health care services provided by the society.
